A plasma light, or plasma globe, is a decorative, interactive glass sphere containing noble gases (neon, argon, xenon) and a high-voltage, low-current central electrode that creates mesmerizing, colorful, and moving tendrils of plasma. These, popular since the 1980s, are touched by users to create concentrated, audible beams, demonstrating the fourth state of matter.
